Still, if you want loud, special effects filled movie with cool looking robots, Dark of the Moon is worth a watch. Transformers: Dark of the Moon is not a bad movie, but it has an overly long runtime and most of the stuff with the humans could have been left out. You are still rooting for Prime and the rest of the Autobots by the end of the movie, but this is a long movie and it certainly feels like a long movie if that makes sense. Shockwave and his giant worm destroying Chicago is truly amazing stuff and the whole final portion of the movie is very exciting. Longtime Transformers fans were not happy when it was Sam, a human who killed Starscream!Īs with all the Transformers movies, Dark of the Moon is filled with incredible looking set pieces.
The surprise turn of Sentinel Prime and Optimus finally putting down Megatron are some great story moments, but the parts with Sam are very weak and he had outstayed his welcome by this point.
